Begin with a cultural exploration of Dhaka before boarding the historic Rocket Steamer for a scenic river journey to Mongla. Cruise through the world’s largest mangrove forest, the UNESCO-listed Sundarbans, home to the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, spotted deer, crocodiles, dolphins, and hundreds of bird species. Enjoy jungle hikes, wildlife safaris, canal cruises, watchtower visits, and unforgettable encounters with nature before returning to Dhaka.
Arrive Dhaka international airport by flight. After clearing immigration and custom formalities, you will be meet and greet by our company representative, traditional welcome garlanding. Transfer to hotel by AC transport.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning after breakfast, half day city sightseeing will be offered to cover Shadarghat river front, Pink Palace, Lalbag Mughal Fort, Dhakeswari Hindu temple, Curzon Hall of Dhaka University and the most distinctive Parliament Building of world-famous Luis I. Kahn. Lunch at nice Bengali restaurant. Afternoon drive to Shadarghat to avail the heritage vessel paddle wheel “rocket steamer” bound to Mongla/Khulna.
Enjoy the dinner at the saloon of the vessel. During this river journey seating on the front deck chair, you will enjoy the wonderful scenic beauty and subtle nature of the riverine Bangladesh.
Stay overnight at the A/C cabin (twin bedded).
The whole day you will be staying on the vessel and enjoying overwhelming beauty of the different new raised islands, attracting fishing wooden boats and the primitive and nomadic life style of the fishermen. Reach Mongla by afternoon and disembark the vessel to avail the cruising boat designated for Sundarbans tours for 3 Nights/ 3 days. Anchor the boat at Chandpai Forest Station to get the forest permit and 02-armed forest guards. Dinner & overnight on the boat.

Early morning start cruising through the river Mirgamari, Harintana, Shella etc. The cruise may take (6-7 hrs) depending on tide. During this long cruise you will be passing through the different forest islands and obviously you may expect to click your Zoom camera to shoot different wild animals like spotted Deer, Rhesus Macaque, colorful birds specially the white large Egrets, White bellied sea Eagle or huge Crocodiles basking on the shore or playful diving of Gangetic dolphins in the river water is a common feature in this great jungle. Reach Katka Island in the afternoon and anchor the boat for subsequent forest activities. Evening (if time permits) explore the island by forest hiking inside the forest to observe the wild animals in their own domain.
Dinner and stay overnight on the boat’s cabin.
Early morning explore the most attracting Jamtala Island famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger, different wild animals & birds. Here you can enjoy the canal cruising by small country boat for bird watching. After breakfast some interesting forest activities will be organized which include climbing of watch tower to observe the wild animals, take interesting jungle hiking through the deep covered forest to have the closer look of wild animals and the mangrove vegetation. Walking through the Badamtala beach (2.5 km) will be a great experience to follow the tiger’s trail down to the beach and savannah type grass lands in the backdrop of the deep covered forest. Return to boat and sail for Kachikhali Island (Tiger Point - 2 hrs) which is very famous for wild life habitat and especially for the tiger’s domain. Afternoon take a adventurous forest hiking in the covered forest and as well as in the broad grass lands where you can easily observe the big herds of spotted deer and wild boar. To get the glimpse of burning bright shadow of the Royal Bengal Tiger is a common feature in this tiger reserve. Return to boat and enjoy the B.B.Q Dinner. Stay overnight on the boat.
Note :
Adventurous tourist can undertake long forest hiking for 9 kilometer forest cover from Jamtala beach to Tiger point by walking. This long walking through the domain of the Royal Bengal tiger and crossing so many dense trees, thorny bushes, pointed breathing roots blended all through the water stained muddy forest floor, will be very much interesting and exciting During this adventure you will invariably find the fresh pug marks of the Royal Bengal tiger including other pray animals on the sandy beach which will obviously alert you about the imminent presence of the predator and finally the probability of sudden appearance of a tiger (if luck favors) will be of your life time experience.
Early in the morning take a boat cruise by a small country boat in the famous Kachikhali Khal (canal) to observe colorful birds. Here you can expect to see the giant Adjutant Stork and white bellied Sea Eagle including different type of Fishing kites, Mangrove pitta, Black headed Oriol, Red Jungle Fowl, Wood packer etc.
Back to the boat and sail for return journey towards Mongla in a different way crossing so many rivers, canals, ever green forested islands which are not same so long you visited. Reach Mongla and disembark the boat and drive state to Jessore Airport (3 hrs journey) to avail the domestic evening flight to reach Dhaka (45 minutes). Transfer to hotel.
