Day 01: Arrive Delhi by flight

Meeting and assistance on arrival by company representative and transfer to hotel by AC transport.

Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi / Srinagar by flight

Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport to board flight for Srinagar.

Arrival in Srinagar Airport collect the baggage and then fill the registration form inside the airport building and then move towards outside the building meet our Driver outside the building and load the baggage at vehicle and directly transfer to Hotel at Srinagar. Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir is situated at an altitude of 1,730 mts. In the heart of the Kashmir valley, Srinagar spreads out on both sides of the Jhelum River. The valley's beauty has enticed visitors from distant lands. Srinagar bears the hallmark of the Mughal; dry fruits and the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts are the other major attractions of the hill resort. If there is a heaven on earth, it's here, it's here, it's here in Srinagar.

Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of pleasure’ built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake. It is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. The largest in size is the Shalimar Bagh, which is also located on the bank of the Dal Lake. ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu, which means "Garden of Joy," "Garden of Gladness" and "Garden of Delight.

Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jahan or (Mehr-un-Nissa).. The garden is considered the high point of Mughal horticulture. It is now a public park. This time it's also called as crown of Srinagar.

Day 03: Srinagar – Sonamarg (90 Kms/2.5 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, depart for Sonamarg (2740 mts) also known as ‘The Meadow of Gold’ or “The Gateway of Ladakh’ Sonamarg is 87 Kms from Srinagar and is surrounded by colorful mountains and thick Pine forests. 

Sonamarg - In its vicinity lies the great Himalayan glaciers of Kashmir Valley namely Kolahoi Glacier and Machoi Glacier with some peaks of above 5,000 m: Sirbal Peak, Kolahoi Peak, Amarnath Peak and Machoi Peak. Sonmarg is situated in a valley at the bank of Nallah Sindh, 87 km north-east from Srinagar. It is a popular tourist destination, nestled within the imposing Himalayan peaks. It lies at an altitude of 2800 m above sea level. The drive to Sonmarg passes Nallah Sindh, a major tributary of the Jehlum River in the Kashmir valley. It is upwards of sixty miles long valley and deep rock-grit gorge to open grassy meadow land and village-dotted slopes.

Guest will Hire Pony/ Local vehicle for local sightseeing (Direct cost basis). OR else guest can trek towards Thajiwas Glacier in Sonamarg which is 3 kms in the south of Sonamarg main attraction. Slopes and meadows are sparkled with the loveliest of alpine flowers, while the rich forests of fir, sycamore and birch at their lush green beauty to the scene. Along with the Pahalgam, Sonamarg is an excellent takeoff point for treks into the mountains and in itself is an ideal camping ground where glaciers pour down from the Himalayas. Sonamarg is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus via Baltal Valley.

Day 04: Sonamarg – Pahalgam (165 Kms/05 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, depart for Pahalgam. on the way Guest can Visit Cricket Bat Factories, Saffron Fields. Once reaching at Pahalgam our vehicle is only allowed for local running in Market not for Sightseeing in Pahalgam. Pahalgam (2133 mts) also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds or Trekker’s Paradise. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Pahalgam is one of the most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam offers breath-taking views. One can just enjoy the town of Pahalgam trek to some of the most beautiful places on earth. Pahalgam is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus.

Guest can visit Aru, Chandanwari & Betaab valley by local Vehicle hiring from Registered Tourist Taxi Stands OR else can do Sightseeing of Baisaran, Dabiyan, Kashmir valley, Water Fall, Pahalgam Valley, Kanimarg on Pony hiring from Pony stands (Direct Cost basis). 

Chandanwari is situated 16 km from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan (Rain). The road to Chandanwari is beautiful and enjoyable. The valley is of average nature. However, people can see the Beautiful starting point of great Amarnath Yatra.

Betaab Valley is situated at a distance of 15 kilometres from Pahalgam. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is towards northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.

 

Aru valley is located around 12 km from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. The Aru valley is noted for its scenic meadows. It is popular among the tourists for its peaceful environment and scenic beauty. The village is a base camp for trekkers to the Kolahoi Glacier, the Tarsar - Marsar lakes and the Katrinag valley. It is also a base for the treks to Lidderwat, the Vishansar-Kishansar lakes and Kangan. The Kolahoi is the largest glacier in the Kashmir Valley, and is located near Mt. Kolahoi (5425m), the highest peak in the Valley.

Day 05: Pahalgam - Srinagar (100 Kms/03 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, depart for Srinagar. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel/houseboat. Afternoon enjoy your 01-hour Shikara ride in famous Dal Lake. Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city, which is often compared to Venice. You will get a lovely view of some interesting places around the lake. Rest day free at leisure for personal activities.

Day 06: Srinagar – Leh by flight

Morning after breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport to board flight for Leh.

Arrival on Leh Airport then fill the registration form inside the airport building and then move towards outside the building meet our Representative outside the building. Meet & greet and transfer to the Hotel at Leh. Welcome drink on arrival. We recommend you completely relax for the rest of the day to enable yourselves to acclimatize to the rarefied air at the high altitude.

Day 07: Leh

Morning after breakfast, visit the monasteries of Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace.

 

Shey – it was the ancient capital of Ladakh and even after Singge Namgyal built the more imposing palace at Leh, the kings continued to regard Shey, as their real home. The importance which was attached to Shey ‐ the seat of Ladakhʹs heartland ‐ is attested by the enormous number of Chorten about the village, particularly around the palace complex and barren plain to the north of the road.

 

Thiksey –is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompa containing images, stupas and exquisite wall paintings. It also houses a two ‐ storied statue of Buddha which has the main prayer hall around its shoulder.

 

Hemis – which is dedicated to Padmasambhava, what a visitor can observes a series of scenes in which the lamas, robed in gowns of rich, brightly colored brocade and sporting masks sometimes bizarrely hideous, parade in solemn dance and mime around the huge flag pole in the center of the courtyard to the plaintive melody of the Shawn. 

 

Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district, Ladakh, in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission.

Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. Modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, the palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century then visit Leh Temple & Walk back or Drive to Leh Bazaar.

Day 08: Leh – Nubra (Via Khardung La Pass)

Morning after breakfast, drive to NUBRA VALLEY passes over KHARDUNG LA (the highest motorable road in the world) at 5602 M / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as (Ldumra) or (The valley of flowers). It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. The Shayok and Saichen Rivers drain Nubra. The flat part of the river is sandy & occupied by green farms & myricaria. The villages look pretty with greenery, willow & poplar trees. Till partition Nubra Valley was one of the trades centres, the ancient famous Silk Route passed through this area.

After Check-in proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (On Own). Visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries.

 

DESKIT VILLAGE: Deskit is the main village of headquarter of Nubra valley, which has a small market consisting of a row of shops and about 500 years old Gompa on the hilltop. Spectacular view of the valley can be seen form the monastery.

DESKIT GOMPA: Deskit Gompa was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD during the reign of King Dragspa. About 100 monks are residing in the Gompa, which is a branch of Thikse Monastery. The monastic festival called Gustor takes place on 20th and 21st days of the 12th month of Tibetan calendar.

 

HUNDAR VILLAGE: Hundar is a beautiful village to stay with lot of trees and you will really enjoy your stay at Hundar. It has a small monastery and ruined fort above the village. The walk or Camel Safari (Double Hump Bactrian camels) from Hundar to Deskit, through sand dunes for two hours is wonderful (On Own).

Day 09: Nubra to Pangong via Shayok River (160 Kms/05 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, transfer to Nubra to Pangong via Agham Shyok Road after crossing Khalsar village, you need to take the road towards Village Agham, leaving the upper route going towards Khardung La. Once you reach Agham, you will be at a bifurcation where the road left would take you to Shyok village and the one towards right is going towards Wari La. The road towards left is the one the one you need to take to Pangong Tso.

The name Pangong is derived from the Tibetan word Banggong Co meaning long, narrow, enchanted lake. There is a narrow ramp-like formation of land that runs into the lake which is a favorite among tourists and photographers. Due to the saltiness in the water of the lake, there is very less micro-vegetation. There are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake, except for some small crustaceans. However, numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface can be spotted in plenty. There are some species of scrub and perennial herbs that grow in the marshes around the lake.

Day 10: Pangong - Tsomoriri via Tsagala (190 Kms/07 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute visit the faraway settlement of Chusul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake.

Day 11: Tsomoriri – Leh via Mahe Bridge (240/07-08 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the Camp and explore the lake area and Korzok village. Later drive back to Leh. you’ll drive back on the same route till Mahe bridge and then take the beautiful road along the river Indus to Leh.

Day 12: Leh – Alchi, Likir, Lamayuru - Leh (125 Kms one way / 03-04 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, visit Likir monastery or Gompa is one of the oldest and well-maintained monasteries in Ladakh. The monastery is located in Likir village and is believed to have been in existence since 11th century Lamayuru Monastery, one of the earliest seats of lamaistic learning and most picturesque monastery in Ladakh then drive towards the monasteries of Alchiʹs large temple complex founded in the 11th Century is regarded as one of the most important Buddhist Centres in Ladakh and a jewel of monastic skill.

Day 13: Leh – Delhi – Depart by flight

Morning after breakfast, board flight for Delhi.

 

Upon arrival lunch at local restaurant.

Later, city tour visiting India gate, President house (outside) and Govt. buildings etc. Also visit Qutab Minar. After dinner transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for onward destination.
